Shipping & Returns

Most orders ship from Boston, MA within one business day. Orders placed over the weekend will normally go out on Monday. If the item you ordered is out of stock, we will contact you via email and/or phone alerting you of the status of your order and work with you to make you happy. If we have not shipped your item within 30 days, we will notify you before shipping. Hilton’s Tent City will pay ground freight on back orders when the value of remaining items exceeds $30.00.

Free Shipping Terms and Policy

If your order is over $50.00, and you live somewhere in the lower 48, you receive free USPS or UPS Ground or  shipping. Yes, it is that simple. However, oversized items such as some large tents may incur a shipping charge. Any order under $50.00 will be $7.99 for shipping. The shipping charge will be listed on the item page and on your receipt. UPS does not ship to P.O. Boxes, or APO's. If the item is being sent to P.O. Box or APO, we can send it USPS at no additional charge. Keep in mind however; you will not be able to track your order. Shipping to Alaska, Hawaii, or other US territories will be shipped USPS and will not be available for free shipping.

Shipping Times and General Information

Upon checking out online, you will receive an automatic confirmation email. Before we ship your order, we process your order, and verify your credit card information. If we cannot process your order we will contact you via the email or phone number provided. If neither of those work, we will send a messenger pigeon . . . not really. Your credit card will not be charged until your order ships. The availability of items is subject to stock on hand. Credit card transactions are subject to verification by the issuing bank. The receipt of your order depends upon the shipping method you choose during the order process. We offer a variety of shipping services from UPS Ground Shipping to UPS Next Day Air. All shipments of orders received on weekends go out starting on Monday, including priority shipments. All shipping time estimates are in business days. UPS estimates to us Ground Shipping as 3-5 business days depending on your location. A UPS tracking number will be automatically sent to you upon your order leaving our store. Actual shipping times vary by your location, product and ship method. A receipt will be included with your package for your records.

International Shipping

On international orders, the recipient is responsible for payment of applicable duties, taxes and other fees. Please contact your Customs Office for information on duties, taxes and restricted items before ordering.

Shipping to APO's, FPO's and US Territories:

Any order placed with an APO, FPO, or US Territory address will be shipped via USPS 


If for any reason you would like to refund your purchase, simply ship back the unused item and tags with a printout of your receipt to Hilton’s Tent City. We will refund any item received within 60 days of the purchase date.

Note: All climbing equipment and undergarment sales are final.
