Golite Den bargain

Think of the Den 2 as a tarp with a built-in floor, mosquito netting and poles. Used properly, with the tail end pitched into an oncoming wind, the huge ventilation ports (the awning covered foot end and the patent-pending outward-sloping front entrance) provide more ventilation than almost any tent. However, when there is no wind, or when the dew point and the air temperature are close together, it’s possible for condensation to form inside the canopy. The lack of an “inner tent” makes it easy to come in contact with this moisture. We therefore ask you to apply common sense to your choice of shelter – if you travel in areas with low humidity and/or with ample breezes, the Den 2 provides a simple, reliable, roomy shelter for two – at a very low weight.
